Brad Wheeler
Brad Wheeler is the lead tester at Motocross Reviews. Everything on this site is ridden, worn, or used by him before it gets a score.
The racing
Brad raced EMX300 at European level and competed in the British Championship. He’s the son of Brian Wheeler, a former Grand Prix rider, so the bug was always going to bite. These days he races national amateur championships, which means he pays his own entries, loads his own van, and rides the same tracks and in the same conditions as most of the people reading this.
The bike
Brad’s own race bike is a 2026 Yamaha YZ450F, built up with GYTR parts over a full season. It doubles as a long-term test platform, which is why you’ll see it referenced across a lot of the hard-parts reviews.
The approach
Brad’s testing voice is honest, specific, and a bit self-deprecating. He’s not a factory rider and he’ll tell you so. He’ll tell you a strap is a faff, a peak came loose, or a tyre washed out on hard pack. He’ll also tell you when something genuinely surprised him. That honesty is the entire point.
He also writes for MX Vice. On this site, his job is to test properly and score consistently, so you can trust the number next to a product.
